We do offer a specific steam water which is a distilled water that is suitable for all of our steamers. You may also use battery water, this could be easier to get a hold of. It might seem unnecessary to buy water for a steamer but the wrong kind of water might actually do harm.
The reason we bring this up and even sell water is because if you live in an area with hard water and use tap water in the steamer it might get harmed. If you live in an area with soft water there's no worries using tap water for the steamer. We vouch for you to find out what kind of quality the water has in the area you live to ensure it won't harm the steamer.
We also recommend distilled water as a safety measure since the quality of water can differ a lot between regions. If you only have access to hard water in the tap, a good idea would be to invest in getting distilled-or battery water. Otherwise you may also risk having chalk stains and residues ending up on your clothes and sooner or later the steamer might even break completely.
If you have used hard water/calcareous water, then you need to descale your steamer every now and then. Please check out our descaling guides for further information regarding this.
